My Garden
The garden that I made has a few places of shade
Tall trees cast a shadow that protect fragile plants that cannot handle the rays the sun blasts
The shade plants mostly green, it is hard for them to be seen without the growth the sun brings
Big flowers full of color, bold, in many hues
It makes me sad for the others, that go on without a clue
Because color makes the garden desired by almost every buyer
Who want to view all the wonderful hues, covered in dew
Red, blue, and pink, I understand how they think
My Garden in Spring
Yellow in spring, is a fabulous thing
Sparking new growth, and the outcome all want most
A long stem, with a marvelous bloom
Opening majestically was always the flower’s destiny
The plants in the shade, need watered some more before the color within them can be born
I am confident they have a vibrant future in store
I think I will cut back a branch of that tree
So everyone can see
how spectacular they become
with just a little bit of sun
Genesis 1, NIV
11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
Genesis 2, NIV
8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
