I SCREAM Headache: Brain Freeze

Dulled, spanned everywhere I ran,
Frost-brittle branches
Lisped words lurch into the dark abyss – once, twice, thrice.

A precarious Ambush.
Reverberated back: Squabbling nefariousness.
A false network of transactions fractures
the fragility of a spider web
with the languid swish of a finger.
No silver lining, no gold,
no sovereign territory – Pfalz burg.
They retreat.

The brain freeze, the rain…
Unbearable strain yet keeps rhythms – Fa, so, La, La, La, LA, LA!
I vertiginously stagger, searching for a new equilibrium.
Now delirious, I scuttle in kaleidoscopic sunlight,
an evolving tapestry seeking transformation.
