Never Came Along

From East

                                        To West

                From South

                To North

You spun me round about

It wasn’t fun, I never saw the sun,

A rainbow, or the joy of the glow.

I was fat, then thin, bruised and abused

I was tortured by a little mouse

And birds in my house

Stung by a bee that seemed to follow me

I hope the rocks thrown at me caused a

gain for those who moaned about me

I stepped on broken glass

and called you an ass

Because I had to bleed and get stitches

To prove my love for you to those bitches

I heard whispers of disdain regarding me

And their heartless plans to discard me

They claim I wasn’t worthy

To join them on their journey

So I went another direction

To find my own resurrection

The persecution continued

From various institutions

False claims casting blame

Smothering me with shame

So they could rise in disguise

To be glorified on high

While I sat suffering in isolation

An ASS-ociation deterred my every move

With silly laws and citations trying to

break what they sighted as my flaws

All my appliances broke, my water leaked

and all along, I felt like they were

taking a peek?

Looking in with a big fat grin

At my endless suffering

With absolutely no buffering

Why? I guess they didn’t bother to try

to be humane…

No…..For them, it was just a game

watching me wither in pain

So my torment continued

From venue to venue

With various attacks

There was no turning back

A drone pecked apart my yard

So I planned an attack

I had an ax at the ready

But the drone never came back

I think the driver heard

My complaint

And decided on restraint

Which was smart on his part

Because my underhand throw

Is quite precise art

If a door was unlocked

They entered and took what they could

It must have been good

Because now I feel like rotted wood

Soggy and wet,

Almost no composure left

I wonder if all this was the

Result of a bet?

The voles tunneled my yard

To steal a bite of a petal

So I dropped a poison pellet

And am quite sure the vole felt it

A pile of lies, all the way up to my eyes

Makes me certain there is no magic

Behind that lined curtain

It was all a scam

To hold me

To control me

Was always his plan

And I cannot get out

I am trapped in a round about

A loop in time

With a never-ending rewind

Where fifty-three is thankfully

Always the end of me!

He Never Came Along
