contains a space

reduced for the journey

helps abound the length

spread about with no way out

Not a desirable state of being for a life with meaning, but…

The space fills over time

now rewind

warm the hinges

through to their core

Open the door

and one might find

the hinges were more than just kind

Brave and true enduring stretches of blue

so many could get through
